Yesterday was a day filled with screams, cries and what seemed to me like non-stop whining. I seriously think that I have at least six new gray hairs on my head after dealing with it. The funniest part of it all (if I dare use that word) was that most of the offending behavior problems came from my seven year old son (Mitch).
The worst was outburst had to be while we were eating lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. Mitch screamed, cried and whined about everything. I ordered a water for him to go along with his milk...........the complaining starts.
We tell Mitch that he's getting broccoli as a side with his burgers.........that sends him to tears.
Next my hubby, Michael, and I get up to get our salads..........more tears and squeals while complaining that he wanted a salad too.
I speak to the waitress and add a child's salad to our check. Mitchell seems happy and goes to pick out his salad stuff.
The burgers arrive. Oh NO! I ordered turkey burgers and he wanted beef burgers! Bawling and complaining to the point that no one at the tables near us will have a peaceful lunch. This lasts for at least ten minutes.
Mitch starts to settle down but then he notices the burgers are missing cheese. More tears, sobs, complaining, etc.
Michael is starting to look like he's going to explode. He was seriously regretting taking us (the kids & myself) out for lunch. Michael is a very quiet person, so all this noise and attention were pushing him to his limits. I was, and still am, impressed that he was able to keep his cool during all of this.
So anyway......this is why my husband will never allow us to join him for lunch on a work day EVER again. :(
