What a beautiful Easter weekend. We spent the weekend with my mom, as usual, since Michael doesn't really have any family.
Friday....
Since Michael had to work we didn't arrive until dinner time. We joined my mom & dad at a local Mexican restaurant for some yummy food & drinks. Afterward we just chilled out at their house until bed time.
Saturday....
I took the kids to Lowe's to make a cool birdhouse around 10:30 am. They were both so excited that they breezed through the project and we were back to mom's house before 11am.
We also had some Easter prep to do today. Mom and I went shopping for a few things we needed for Easter celebration & church. The kids dyed eggs with their Nana & Auntie, then we all had Easter dinner. We normally have it after church but everyone had decided to go to a restaurant that day instead.
Sunday....
Happy Easter!
The Easter bunny left massive baskets full of stuff for my kids. I have no idea why he was so generous. Mitchell woke Michael and I up at 6:30am to go with him to check out the baskets. Since we didn't have to start getting ready for church for several hours, Mallory,Michael and I went back to sleepy town. Mitchell stayed up playing with his stuff.
Once we were up again, I choked down breakfast and got the kids & I ready. We made it to church with a few minutes to spare! Woot! The sermon was really interesting. The kids were even included, which my two LOVED. After church the kids got to hunt for eggs around the church. Mallory found the egg that Cindy (the pastor) called the "lucky egg". The "lucky egg" was the empty egg that Cindy used during her sermon that geared to the kids.
After the egg hunt we all hit Applebee's for lunch, then it was time to pack up the van and head back home.
It was a very nice weekend.
