Today was our annual Easter egg hunt with my fellow homeschooling mommies. The kids had a blast. Every child brings a dozen filled eggs and they are all suppose to leave with that same number. Of course, every year we end up with a couple kids still searching for eggs that can't be found. Luckily we always bring a few extras so it all works out. We had a good mix of candy & non-candy eggs, so no kid had 12 eggs worth of junk to eat.
Speaking of eating junk. Both of my kids devoured their junk before we even arrived back home, so I don't have to worry about rationing it out over the upcoming days/weeks. Mallory had a permanent purple ring around her mouth from the THREE small bags of skittles she ate. Mitchell, like most of the bigger kids, spent an incredible amount of time swapping candies with the others. I had no idea that kids could entertain themselves for over an hour just swapping/eating candy.
