This was a childless weekend and it has flown by.
I took the kids to my mom's house last Thursday because they have been begging to see their grandparents. I spent the night, well, mom & I stayed up to 3am talking so I didn't get much rest that night. lol
The next morning I got my haircut and then met up with some friends from high school (we've reconnected through FB) for lunch at the local Chinese restaurant. The lunch was a blast and most of us ended up hanging out until about 3pm. After that, I had to rush back to my moms to pick up my bag and drop off the carseats before I could hit the road. By the time my mom & I finished talking it was close to 5pm and I was rushing out of there. I had a manager's meeting for the mommy group I'm in at 7:30pm. Luckily I had time to squeeze in a trip to my favorite Mexican restaurant before the meeting. I loaded up with yummy food & a LARGE margarita. I was ready for a meeting with my girls after that. lol What I wasn't ready for was the fact that our meeting lasted until 11pm. I was so tired from staying up late the night before and running all day that I thought I was going to fall asleep in my chair.
Saturday moved by in a flash. Of course, I slept in until almost 10am. Then jumped on the computer for a few before trying to get some things done. I worked in the kitchen area most of the day and then had to go shower for dinner. We went out for seafood. It was heavenly. I had intended to jump back into cleaning when I got home but I was so tired that I ended up falling asleep while reading a book around 9pm.
Now it's Sunday, here I am on the computer once more. The clock is ticking loudly, reminding me that it's almost "midnight". Should I try to get one more thing done or just give up and get ready to hit the road before my van turns back into a pumpkin?
