It's Saturday!

Just what HAVE we been up to today???

Well.........the day started out way too early for me. Mallory had a basketball game at 10:00am, so I let Michael sleep in and took her by myself. She did great! She got to dribble the ball down the court quite a bit and attempted to score once. I use the word dribble lightly because she starts out dribbling normal, then the ball bounces lower & lower until she has to pick it up with her little hands and start all over again. It is super cute. Another cute thing she does is that most of the the time when she passes the ball she just hands it off instead of passing it. After the game we came home for lunch. Mallory was invited to a birthday party in the afternoon, so Michael took Mitchell to his basketball game. Mitchell's basketball skills are improving but he still has a long way to go. He'd never played or really even watched basketball until recently. He's so cute when he runs circles around the court trying to guard an opponent (or while being guarded) without even noticing the game going on around him.

The birthday party was at Rolly Pollies ( a kids gym with a bounce house). Mallory had so much fun hanging, climbing, & jumping. Unfortunately I forgot to bring a sweet treat for her, so I walked over to Subway to get her some chips & apple slices (which Mallory calls apple dippers because of McDs). Because of her allergies I usually try to remember to bring our own snacks to parties. If we went to parties more often I think I'd do a better job remembering. Anyway, I tried to make her feel better by promising to get her cake or ice cream (well....italian ice) when we left the party. That seemed to excite her. On the way to Brusters she tells me she wants both cake & ice cream because all the other kids got both. How could I argue with that? I ended up promising to have her help me make cake once we got home later.

Our day wrapped up with me picking up a pizza & salads, watching X-men, and then getting the noodles in bed.
