Weather : Hot, humid & cloudy


What did we do : In the morning we picked up Mallory's homeschool friend, Lora, and we went to watch this week's free summer movie, "Nims Island". We read the book last year and we had seen the movie before but the kids love the free summer movies. Mitchell said that he was too "sick" to go with us, which disappointed his friend Ethan (the only home-schooled boy at the movies). The girls, Mallory and Lora, became thirsty within minutes of the movie starting, so I caved and bought them a $4.25 bottle of water to share. That's what I get for not being prepared. Next time I won't forget the water bottles at home. lol

After lunch Mallory wanted to go bike riding and Mitchell decided that he felt good enough to join her, so I let them ride on the street in front of the house for a couple hours while I cleaned out my van. We would have hit the pool but it looked like it would rain at any moment so we didn't even bother suiting up.

Now I'm sipping on a cherry lime-ade while playing on the computer. *sigh* Another summer day comes to an end.
