What a night!

Last night Michael and I went to the Jason Mraz concert. Michael is a huge fan. He bought these tickets months ago and had been so excited to get to see the group again. I like the music but it's not my favorite. The concert was an outdoor concert. That's cool most of the time but last night we had a lot of bad thunderstorms pass through the area. NO outdoor concerts with lightening striking all around us!

They kept postponing the concert in hopes the the storms would pass and they could put on the show but the gaps between storms didn't last very long. The venue & Jason Mraz ended up letting a third of the luckiest ticket holders in to the smaller indoor music area on the premises. Michael was determined to be one of the chosen ones, so I grabbed his back pocket and we pushed through the line. Or course (almost on cue) the next thunderstorm hits while we are trying to file into the building. Rain came down by the bucket full. Within seconds most people were soaked. I had my poncho on but it didn't keep me that dry honestly.

Success!!!!!
We made it inside! Michael and I ran to go pee first thing, since we'd been holding it for over an hour. Then we found a place to stand in front of the stage. Unfortunately that spot was right next to the rudest couple in the universe. They didn't bother watching ANY of the concert, they just thrashed around and dry humped each other the ENTIRE concert. Why does that bother me? Well, they didn't care who they beat to death with there bodies. It was so annoying. They were an older couple that I'm sure both had spouses at home waiting for them.

The concert was great (as expected). They played until 1:00am. It was a very intimate atmosphere, very bar like. Much better than the impersonal outdoor event. I feel like we got even more for our money. It was a night to remember. So happy that I got to share it with Michael.
