I started off the year with my main focus on spelling and math for Mitchell and the Five in a Row series for Mallory. Everything else we've discussed has just been thrown in based on what the kids are interested in. This approach has worked out just fine so far but I would like a little more structure and organization before we get too far into the year.
I'm a big fan of paper. I just LOVE sketch pads, notebooks & post it notes. I have them all over the place. I have one started for school planning but it's a mess. It's driving me CRAZY trying to find what I need or even finding space to add more ideas to a given subject. So, I was going to transfer as much as possible to the computer today. I asked Michael his opinion as to which Microsoft Office program would work best for me because he uses them all the time. Well, he suggested the OneNote program and showed me all about it just a few minutes ago. Let me just say........I think I have found a perfect fit for me. It's so strange to think that this program has been out for years and I'm just now learning how to use it. I guess you can tell I'm no computer guru. lol
This program will work great for anyone. So far I've started a third grade notebook for Mitchell and a kindergarten notebook for Mallory. Although I can now see me having notebooks for all sorts of things like travel, shopping, and personal interests. I can see me using this program for years to come. Thank you Michael & Microsoft!!!
