Catching up with friends

I spent hours catching up with Sarah today. Her son, Colin, and Mitchell are both enrolled in homeschool tennis. Today was our last session of the year. It had been two weeks since we had seen each other so we just jabbered on and on. Sarah is just as big of a talker as I am, so when the two of us get together we end up losing track of hours. lol She told me all about her trip and I filled her in on the details of the wedding. We spoke of what our kids have been up to and the possibilities of new babies in the future.

Since tennis lessons are held at a park, the girls (Sarah's & mine) play on the playground while the boys do tennis. Most days we let the boys play a little too before we leave. We were having so much fun talking. I can't tell you how happy I am that Mitchell noticed that Mallory was playing along side a little girl that was eating a peanut butter sandwich. I decided at that moment that we needed to leave. That little girl's hands were covered with peanut butter. I really wish parents would make their kids sit at a picnic table while eating so they don't contaminate the entire playground. It totally sucks being in a constant state of alert every time Mallory is trying to be a normal kid.

As we were heading to our cars, Sarah and I decided to take our kids to lunch before heading home. 1) it was lunch time and 2) we still had more to talk about. lol

Lunch flew by and before we knew it we were both heading back home. It was such a nice lesurely day catching up and chatting with friends.
