Yesterday I had my first facial and I LOVED it! I have no idea why I waited so long to try it. Like any other girl, I've had manicures, pedicures and an occasional massage but for some reason I never made my skin a priority. Now that I'm getting older it's harder to ignore my skin. I have fine lines, sun damage and still manage to get zits from time to time. Besides the benefits to my skin, I'd just like to say that it was so relaxing. It's like getting two things for the price of one. You'd better believe that I'll be getting more facials in my future.
After my facial I met the rest of the family at one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. Macado's may be just another bar & grill type of restaurant but it's so much more to Michael & I. We grew up eating there, so taking our kids there just feels like we're passing on a tradition. I hope that they feel the same way about it when they are older. Right now it's just the BLT sandwich that keeps them coming back for more. lol
Our next stop was going to see the movie "Up". It got really good reviews plus my kids were promised to go see it last week by my sister who ended up standing them up. The kids have been crying about not getting to see it all week and I just hated that they were let down. Anyway, I have to say that I really liked the movie and the characters even made me cry several times.
Once the movie was over it was bedtime for the kids, so we took them home. Michael helped get them ready and I got back in my van to go pick up banana splits for the two of us to eat while the kids were sleeping. Man that was a yummy treat.
I'm hoping to not leave the house at all today. I want to hit the pool later and maybe work on cleaning the garage. The sun is shining and I'm ready to enjoy myself.
