Today started out with me feeling sick and tired. A week's worth of traveling back and forth, just took everything out of me. We were invited to a birthday party in the morning and I really wanted to go but I just couldn't stay out of the bathroom.
I ended up reading a book and napping most of the day but the kids were driving me nuts screaming and fighting. It made it impossible to rest. Finally I gave in and took them to the community pool. It was almost 4pm and the pool is practically in my backyard. I hoped that they'd finally play and leave me alone. I sat in the shade and read while they splashed, played and continued to fight. By 5:30pm I'd had all I could take and was ready for dinner. So I dried them off and walked back home.
During dinner Michael got the phone call that he'd been waiting for..........the HR guy from his dream job called and offered Michael a position. Woo Hoo! The same level position paying just a little bit more than what he's making now. Of course he said "YES!". He will start on his new job on July 20th!
It doesn't end there. Apparently one of the other jobs Michael interviewed for was ready to make him an offer too. Sweet! That job is an hour & a half drive from home & not quite what he's interested in, so he turned them down.
Wow! For today to have started out so funky, it sure turned out nice.
